1. Is your website or blog easy to get around in? When people land on it they should be able to find what they are looking for very quickly. Consider the navigation of your site and make adjustments as necessary.
2. Give away a free report or ebook in exchange for a person’s contact information. Do you publish a newsletter monthly? Is your sign-up form above the fold where a person can find it?
One way to create a money making website is to build an email marketing list and follow up with it. The way to do is to trade things useful for a person’s contact information, then continues following up with them.
3. When we talk about the above the fold we mean everything a person can see without moving up and down your site. The keys to keep above the fold are referring a friend, linking to your blog, bookmarking your site link and signing up form to your mailing list.
4. Is your site consistent in all ways? Every webpage, whether it’s on your blog or website, should have the same header, the same background color, and the same piece of navigation. This is part of branding yourself and every visitor should always feel like they have never left your site as they move from one page to another.
5. Do you offer ways for people to purchase your products? Having additional ways for a person to pay you is smart business. Certainly having a PayPal button is an easy way to get paid online. However let people know that they can pay you in other ways such as mailing a check or by credit card.
6. One last thing we want you to know is the search engines are friend of yours and then can be good source of quality traffic.
Having a money making website will only carry you so far if you do not have enough traffic coming to you on a daily basis. Search engines can provide free or paid traffic that will increase your bottom line dramatically.
